Hackathon: the future of mobility
A challenging ‘hack battle’ on mobility issues in public spaces.
Ever wonder what would happen if you made all your data freely available? That’s exactly what Pon’s Innovation Lab wanted to know. We helped them test this idea within a secure environment. How? By organizing a hackathon.
The hackathon consisted of 24 participants with a data or engineering background (both students and Pon employees), who worked for 24 hours on a mobility challenge. To get the best possible outcomes, they had access to multiple Pon and external data sources.
Through this hackathon, Pon got to know all the pros and cons of opening data to the community. The mobility challenge was a success, as all innovative functionalities of the teams were considered for development.
